It now offers six self-catering holiday apartments with breathtaking views of the surrounding hills and the picturesque landscape that the Marche region has to offer. Piticchio’s castle was built in the XIII century on the ruins of an ancient roman village by the name of “Pitulum”. Situated on top of a hill overlooking the Misa valley, it has a mere 30 inhabitants. Piticchio castle is an architectural jewel from the medieval era and the high walls protecting the castle are perfectly preserved. We are proud of our castle with its little meandering alleys that are adorned with blooming flowers and luscious plants. Both private and public premises are used to host musical events and food evenings. We are situated just half an hours drive from the Adriatic coastline and border onto the region of Umbria.
